It is also nice to see what we can achieve by building on the works of those who have come before us. In over a century, we've gone from not knowing a lot about a lot of things to knowing so much now. Even then, there's still a lot more we can learn and plenty more that we can contribute to build the bank of knowledge that is science and propel even more interesting advances.
I also hope we see in this decade and onwards a lot more contribution from Africa, so when you or someone else takes a look back through history, we can find that African scientists in Africa have made incredible contributions to what we know.
